Hello all,
For those who have signed up with us, we are experiencing a high number of malfunctions. They worked fine when tested with our local server and started acting up when uploaded to a different one. We are getting this fixed as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience caused (and some frustrations). Hang in there!
I thought I'd post this up again as my previous "7 Days to Launch" is experiencing some kind of problem when someone tries to open it. (I think it's because I posted the same entry about 30 times by accident. An error box kept on appearing when I tried saving it)
So, it's now the 20th of December and Pinkdoodle will be up and running in 5 days! Hooray!
And another thing for those who worry about giving away your credit card details. Today we have just decided on taking payments via PayPal. So that's one worry down the line. :)
Hope to see more of you signing up. Grab your one month free item listing!
Go to www.pinkdoodle.com to sign up.
For groups that do not wish to receive my posts in the future, do let us know. We have chosen your group solely because we feel some of your members might find this service beneficial. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused.
It's finally coming together! 7 more days and Pinkdoodle will be up and running. Big hopes for it to sail like a baby. We are right now conducting tests and making final adjustments.
We're giving away one month of free item listing for those who sign up before December 25th. Join the 200+ people who have signed up as for this moment.

Pinkdoodle - Buy & Sell Creative
So, to move on... With my background in Design, some experience in identity re-Branding, and an awareness from cultural & social studies, I began to see the trend of those who are graduating Art & Design school with their final year pieces ready to be marketed! The competition to land on a job is extremely tight. Students studying in the creative fields have been warned repeatedly by the tutors of the hard cash-flow that will come from pursuing a Creative career.
I believed differently. Creative professionals have the power to innovate, they just need to be paired with the right tool to get them take that next big step! Any successful venture, creative or non-creative, big or small, is made up of two main elements. Innovation and Marketing. (So my father says, and other book source I read)
The concept of Pinkdoodle.com is purely based in helping these Creatives to get to that somewhere. The idea started from setting up a Portfolio House for Creatives, to a Creative Recruitment website, to (at some point) not knowing what it should be, and finally the polished concept of setting up an online marketplace to buy and sell Creative goods and services!
On my way to jetting go my new company to success, I got reminded of a man in the book-selling industry (documented in some book, I cannot quite remember) who set up a blog and drove traffic to his business! So I thought I'd give this a shot and share a little more that what meets the eye.
So, here's a little story to how it began. My name is Dominiq Haliman. I found the upcoming website Pinkdoodle.com, due to go live on Christmas day (woohooo!!!) The concept came about the end of February 2007 in the middle of my third and final year in completion of my BA (hons) Product Design degree at Central St. Martins College of Art & Design, London. NOT good for my final year projects. I got distracted, and on top of that I had a severe nasal polyp that kept me awake at night and unable to sleep, leaving my sleepy head during daytimes. My good hard work for the previous 3 years sort of went to waste. Not terribly, but pretty bad in comparison to what I was able to really achieve.
So back to Pinkdoodle, to speed up the story by 7 months, I invited friends to take part. People come and go because of personal and professional reasons. Like many other start-ups, online or offline, research shows very little success in partners or group members staying together 'til the end of time. I salute the two guys from GOOGLE! I suppose you don't have to look at it that far down the line, you can be watching MTV and follow faith on singing groups that eventually go solo, or simply.. break up!
Pinkdoodle went through a lot of roller coaster developments, happiness and some sorrow. A lot of fear and excitement involved, however I believe when you feel that way about something, you're going on the right direction. OK, I didnt quite come up with that. I felt it, but some guy I watched from somewhere quoted that. :D You know when you're going through something and never really quite realized it until someone else mentions it? Yes. That!
I would like to sell my amigurumi in Pinkdoodle, but I can't access my pinkdoodle either.... :( read more
